Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

Senior VR Counselors provide professional vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their employment goals. They assess medical, psychological, and vocational information to determine service eligibility and develop individualized employment plans. The role involves coordinating and negotiating services, conducting job placement activities, and building relationships with employers and community partners. Senior VR Counselors manage client information and case records, provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Effective communication, data analysis, and career counseling skills are essential. They must balance multiple priorities, work productively under tight deadlines, and maintain a goal-directed approach. In-person attendance is essential for this position.

Access Coordinator

The Access Coordinator serves as a subject matter expert on the academic and on-campus housing ADA reasonable accommodation request process for students. This role is a remote position. Daily functions include meeting with students with disabilities, reviewing medical and supplemental documentation, evaluating and determining requests for accommodations, and creating and maintaining case notes. The role collaborates with other ANU staff, coordinates with faculty, academic department leaders, and other campus liaisons.

Vocational Evaluator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, fast-paced Vocational Evaluator (VE) to manage and conduct in-person vocational evaluations. This independent contractor role offers flexibility and autonomy while requiring a high level of professionalism, integrity, and strong communication skills. 

As a VE, you’ll: 

  • Meet with clients in person to conduct vocational evaluations. 
  • Prepare clear, professionally written reports within required timeframes. 
  • Review, approve, and sign off on evaluations completed by Vocational Evaluator Assistants. 
  • Maintain confidentiality, high ethical standards, and excellent customer service.

Rehabilitation Counselor

Looking for an experienced counselor to assist with and be responsible for their own vocational counseling caseload as well as assisting with expert consulting work as needed and as per qualifications and experience. We prefer the applicant already has a CRC or CDMS certification. Non certificate holders must plan to obtain a CDMS certification within 6 months of meeting CDMS exam qualification criteria. May consider a vocational counselor intern applicant with the prior applicable experience. Housing Access Coordinator (Remote)

Northwestern University seeks a Housing Access Coordinator to manage housing and dining disability accommodations. This role reports jointly to AccessibleNU and Residential Services and serves as a campus expert on equal access and compliance with ADA, FHA, and related regulations. Responsibilities include evaluating accommodation requests, coordinating housing/dining exceptions, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure accessibility. The position also supports classroom accommodations during non-peak housing periods.

Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in related field; masters preferred · Minimum 1 year experience working with students with disabilities · Knowledge of ADA, FHA, and accommodation processes · Familiarity with the complexities of medical documentation and its alignment with accommodation determination, including the interpretation of test results such as the WAIS, Woodcock Johnson, and other diagnostics within the DSM-V.
