Vocational Specialist

The Vocational Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive labor market and vocational research to identify suitable employment opportunities for individuals with documented physical, functional, or vocational limitations. This role supports return-to-work and employability outcomes through objective analysis of labor market conditions, individual capabilities, and job requirements.

Qualifications:
· Background in Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Resources, or Staffing is preferred.
· CRC/CVE preferred.
· Excellent Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel
· Analytical and researching skills
· Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills

Vocational Evaluator Supervisor

The Vocational Evaluation Supervisor manages and supervises the Vocational Evaluation team, oversees the Individualized Vocational Assessment Plans (IVAP) process, and assesses the work skills, abilities, work readiness, and vocational potential through the administration of aptitude and educational achievement of the clients at the program site.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
· Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education, or the equivalent in a related field.
· Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor credentials from the Commission on Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.

CRC Certified – Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

AFG & Life Care Associates is a leading provider of vocational and life care planning services, including counseling, testing, evaluation, assessment, case management, and expert testimony. We currently have a full-time opening for a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Expert who has been court-qualified, or a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Counselor with the potential to become court-qualified, to join our small but busy office in Fairfield, New Jersey. As a Vocational Expert, you will perform evaluations for purposes of employability in litigation cases. You will interview and evaluate individuals for cases involving personal injury or divorce, and render an opinion regarding their employability in the current job market

Please note: This position is hybrid. Vocational Experts will be expected to work out of our office in Fairfield, NJ, bi-weekly. 

Education: MA or MS in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or Rehabilitation Counseling. CRC strongly preferred or eligibility for CRC certification. 

Experience: Strong communication and report-writing skills are a must. 3-5 years’ work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation with a minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated job placement experiences preferred, but will consider recent grads. We will mentor the right candidate.
