Vocational Case Manager

Fully Remote, $40,000-$65,000, full benefits package!  The Vocational Case Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the unemployed beneficiaries as it relates to Allsup Employment Services Return to Work program. The Vocational Case Manager is responsible for building a positive relationship with the unemployed beneficiary. The Vocational Case Manager provides customized job placement solutions to the unemployed beneficiaries using established career-counseling techniques and technical knowledge, based on the beneficiaries’ established skills, education and past work experience by thoroughly reviewing claim information and assisting beneficiaries to return to gainful employment, and financial self-sufficiency.

Activities of Daily Living / Orientation & Mobility Instructor

In this role, you will provide instructional services across a statewide coverage area to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Your responsibilities will include assessing and training clients in essential travel skills such as indoor and outdoor navigation, street crossing, and the use of public transportation, as well as guiding them in the effective use of adaptive equipment like long canes and support canes. Additionally, you will support clients in utilizing their residual vision (as appropriate), recommending sun lenses, and using distance low vision aids. You may also provide training in daily living skills including kitchen tasks, communication, financial management, home management, personal management, and Braille.

Assessment and training may take place in the participant’s home, training site, or workplace. Therefore, significant in-state travel during work hours required.

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

The Vocational Specialist provides vocational services to individuals with acquired brain injuries (including traumatic, mild, and concussive), spinal cord injuries, and other neuromuscular disorders for Shepherd Center Rehabilitation Continuum. Provided services are based on the location/department/unit assignment. This role interacts with team members from multiple departments and disciplines, to create innovative treatment plans that empower patients and their families towards greater autonomy. VR Counselor

The WWRC Vocational Services Department is looking for a qualified individual to serve as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. In partnership with the rehabilitation team assigned to each VR consumer, the WWRC rehabilitation counselor will be accountable for planning, developing, implementing, and managing vocationally focused, comprehensive services for consumers with disabilities attending WWRC and leading an interdisciplinary rehabilitation program team for each consumer served. Each rehabilitation team consists of (at minimum) the VR consumer in residence at the WWRC assigned a rehabilitation counselor, a behavioral support specialist team member, and a representative from WWRC medical, vocational, and residential staff working with the consumer and the home office DRS counselor. Programs Manager

Primary responsibilities include supervision of professional level staff including Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Interpreter Services, Interpreter Certification Resource Center (ICRC) and support staff in the provision of Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services to Oklahomans who experience deafness or are hard of hearing. Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist III, II, I – Kauai (Part-Time)

The Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist performs evaluation, vocational counseling and allied rehabilitation services for the full range of cases; provides and/or arranges for testing, medical treatment, training, job placement and adjustment; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Level I: The primary purpose of this trainee position is to learn the basics of the vocational rehabilitation program and casework process and the knowledge, skills and abilities to assist individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing, through the various stages of the rehabilitation process, with close supervision when serving the more moderate and complex cases. Training focuses on learning the program requirements necessary to progress to the VR Specialist II level with opportunity for the trainee to analyze, diagnose and evaluate cases, and includes successful completion of half of the required coursework towards a Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Level II: The primary purpose of this advanced trainee position is to continue learning the vocational rehabilitation casework process and program requirements for providing services to individuals with disabilities in order to progress to the fully trained and experienced journey worker level. Training focuses on learning the agency’s role, its philosophy of service, commitments, organizational relationships and goals, and provision of vocational rehabilitation services to an assigned caseload of individuals with disabilities in various stages of the rehabilitation process, ranging from the simple non-significantly

disabled to the moderately complex significantly disabled.

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist III and II (American Sign Language)

Positions are with the DVR, Services for the Deaf Section; this section assists eligible individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing in preparing for serving, retaining, or regaining employment through the provisions of VR services. Proficiency in ASL is required.

Level II: The primary purpose of this advanced trainee position is to continue learning the VR casework process and program requirements for providing services to individuals with disabilities in order to progress to the fully trained and experienced journey worker level. The VRS II is expected to progress to the VRS III. This includes continuation of coursework, work experience, or internship, and obtaining credentials as a CRC to progress to the VRS III level.

Level III: The primary purpose of this journey worker level position is to provide services to a caseload of individuals within the full range of disabilities from simple to complex cases to assist them in achieving an employment outcome.

Assistant Professor – Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Online/Remote)

The assistant professor of the clinical mental health counseling program is responsible for teaching 12 courses per academic year, including clinical or academic courses. The administrative load includes advising and assisting the Director with curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, and committee participation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Doctoral degree with graduate education and training in counseling from an accredited institution, preferably from an MPCAC or CACREP accredited program or doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Educational Administration) AND to have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for at least a full academic year BEFORE July 1, 2013.
