Vocational Expert Witness
Remote, Contract employee with experience placing individuals into employment and/or experience with the labor market and Dept. of Labor (DOL) terminology including familiarity with the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT). Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner as any
successful candidate will be required to provide vocational testimony in forensic settings. Must be flexible and set up for remote work capabilities in a private setting.
Responsibilities
• Review work history records to evaluate claimant’s mental and physical ability to work.
• Provide expert testimony at SSDI and SSI hearings to help Administrative Law Judge
(ALJ) understand the claimant’s ability to work.
• Analyze labor market trends to identify potential jobs that the claimant can perform.
• Prepare written case study summaries to use in legal proceedings.
• Ability to undergo training centered around learning about providing testimony in Social
Security disability hearings, or other court proceedings.
• Flexibility to work at least 2 days a week with availability several months in advance.
• Remote work capability from private, secure setting
• Experience with prior sub-contracting (1099) work preferred.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, counseling, labor economics, or related field.
• CRC accreditation with CRCC (mandatory)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in job placement, job development, or vocational
rehab with disabled individuals
• Knowledge of SSDI and SSI programs, regulations, and policies.
• Experience with DOL resources such as the DOT/SCO and BLS
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
• Ability to provide objective and unbiased expert testimony at SSDI and SSI hearings.

This position is responsible for the State of Hawai‘i’s in-house Return to Work Priority Program (RTWPP) and related vocational rehabilitation services for industrially injured employees.

Counseling Program Coordinator (R0064577)
Summary Of Job Duties
The Counseling Program Coordinator in the School of Counseling, Human Performance, and Rehabilitation is a 12-month tenure track position. The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring Counseling Program adherence to CACREP accreditation standards, which involves close collaboration with the
director, comprehensive management of the accreditation process, and punctual completion of all necessary reporting. The Coordinator is responsible for keeping the curriculum content current and reflective of these standards while also teaching courses within the discipline. This position requires active engagement in scholarship appropriate to the faculty rank and contributing to service at the university, community, and professional levels. Additional responsibilities include managing inquiries about the program, overseeing admissions, supporting students through academic procedures, and monitoring their progress, including graduation audits. The Coordinator also plays a crucial role in guiding students with career planning, developing the program’s course schedule, assigning faculty, assessing program outcomes, and providing input on the annual budget. This position requires residency in the greater Little Rock area during employment. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
